Rush Nigut is a shareholder of Brick Gentry, P.C. His practices focuses on business and franchise law including both transactional and litigation matters. Some of Rush's services include:

Rush is an experienced and trusted advisor to business executives, advising businesses in a wide-range of industries including technology and communication companies, franchise operations, banking and financial institutions, contractors and manufacturers.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Rush has served clients in the Des Moines legal community for nearly two decades. He has received a Martindale AV® Certification Mark from his peers. The Des Moines Business Record named Rush to the 2006 class of Des Moines' Forty Under 40 community leaders and he is also a 2000 graduate of the Des Moines Leadership Institute.
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
Rush is the President of NotifyWorks, Inc. NotifyWorks is a Web-based automated notification system that keeps lawyers and their clients apprised of key deadlines and other legal matters, such as contract renewal and termination dates. He also blogs about legal technology and client service on the NotifyWorks blog.
CIVIC AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Rush is active as a coach in the Raccoon Valley Little League and is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Rooftop Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of low-income families in the Des Moines area.
Rush is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association (former member Technology committee), Polk County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the ABA Forum on Franchising.
EDUCATION
Rush graduated from Drake University Law School in 1994 and Simpson College in 1991 with a degree in Business Management where he is a member of the Epsilon Sigma Honor Society.

Rush started his blog, Rush on Business, in March of 2006 and has been quoted or referenced by hundreds of other legal and business blogs and Web sites including the blog networks for the Wall St. Journal (www.wsj.com), Forbes Magazine (www.forbes.com) and Entrepreneur Magazine (www.entrepreneur.com). In 2008, Rush on Business received awards for the Best Business Blog and Best Resource Blog in the Iowa Web Awards. In 2010 The Wall St. Journal featured Rush on Business in its report on Franchising and in 2011 Franchise Help named Rush on Business to its list of best franchise blogs.
